Strengthening Systems, Partnerships, and Policies for Sustainable Skills Development

The Skills Initiative for Africa – Technical Cooperation is a continental programme that works to strengthen the enabling environment for inclusive, demand-driven, and future-oriented skills development across Africa. It focuses on building institutional capacity, fostering public-private dialogue, and supporting policy reforms that align vocational training systems with national and continental development goals.

Objectives

Skills Initiative for Africa (TC) aims to:

Strengthening TVET governance and coordination structures.

Enhancing labour market intelligence for evidence-based planning.

Supporting policy reforms and legislative frameworks that promote quality, relevance, and inclusion in skills development.

Building the capacity of national TVET authorities and training providers.

Facilitating peer learning, benchmarking, and continental knowledge exchange.
