The Youth Jobs Information Repository

The Solutions For Youth Employment (S4YE) multi-stakeholder coalition has launched  the Youth Jobs Information Repository, a conveniently navigated forum for professionals to access practical youth employment tools and resources. The Repository was updated with over 70 new tools after its launch and now  houses over 300 functional toolkits, guidance notes and carefully curated tools to assist project teams in planning, executing, and scaling project teams.

The Repository allows users to use eight different categories to filter resources by:

1.     Diagnostics

2.     Training & Skills Development-TVET, soft skills, apprenticeships etc.

3.     Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Promotion

4.     Employment & Intermediation Services

5.     Private Sector Engagement

6.     Sector-Specific Approaches - green jobs, digital jobs, jobs in agriculture etc.

7.     Special Target Group(s)  -women, youth with disabilities, youth in fragile/conflict affected areas etc.

8.     Monitoring and Evaluation.

Four additional subcategories have been introduced over the past year: Youth with Disabilities, Digital Economy, Green Economy, and Agriculture.

The Repository also contains the IFC's A Green Reboot For Emerging Markets,, which presents key sectors that can be prioritized in post-COVID green recovery efforts across 21 emerging markets;  EMPLOYABILITY TOOL: BRIDGING EDUCATION TO EMPLOYABILITY and World Bank’s Managing the Employment Impacts of the COVID-19 Crisis: Policy Options for Relief and Restructuring , which discusses policy options for addressing the employment consequences of the crisis of COVID-19.

With e-Conomy Africa 2020, Google and IFC are working on the current African Internet environment and the need to help digital entrepreneurs in Africa.

The repository will continue to be updated by S4YE to represent the most important and latest resources for its partner network.
