This documentary, produced by the International Labour Organization, through the Better Regional Migration Management (BRMM) Project funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, illustrates achievements, challenges and best practices from the implementation of the 1st phase of the programme. Key governmental and non-governmental partners highlight some of the initiatives carried out to improve labour migration governance in East and Horn of Africa by using evidence-based policies, enhancing migrant workers’ qualifications and skills, and actively engaging the social partners for improved development outcomes. The documentary also demonstrates the concrete results achieved in the area of labour statistics, skills, social protection and improved engagement of social partners in the different countries covered by the programme, namely Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda.
