Kigali, 21 March 2024, Following the success of the piloting phase, the Rwanda TVET Board, a government Institution in charge of coordinating TVET programs from level 1 to 5, in collaboration with the German Government through KFW Development Bank is pleased to announce the expansion of its scholarship program aimed at supporting promising students from low-income families to pursue their Technical Education.
This scholarship program is designed to cater for students who completed their Ordinary level of education and enrolled in targeted Technical Secondary Schools (see enclosed list) at level 3 of the Education Qualification Framework for the school year 2024/2025. This significant scholarship expansion will see the number of schools implementing the TVET scholarship program increased from 14 to 50, providing opportunities for an additional 1500 students in the school year 2024/2025.
