Mapping studies to review qualification framework in a number of African countries and Regional Economic Communities together with a final comprehensive report.
The African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF) is a vital policy initiative of the African Union, aimed to enhance transparency and portability of qualifications of all sub-systems and levels of education and training, supporting complementarity with national and regional qualifications frameworks and contributing to CESA 16-25 and the continental integration agenda of AfCFTA. The ACQF is in development (2019-2022), in a participative process supported by the EU, GIZ and ETF.
To build on a well-grounded evidence base, the ACQF process started with a continental mapping study exploring the state-of-pay and perspectives of qualifications frameworks and systems. A collection of national and REC reports has emerged, useful for reference and sharing among peer institutions and stakeholders, which you can access here: Angola, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Togo, SADC, EAC, ECOWAS. For some of these countries this is the first ever specific publication on their qualifications frameworks in the international literature (Angola, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Mozambique, Senegal, Togo).

Le Cadre Continental Africain des Certifications (ACQF) est une initiative politique vitale de l’Union africaine, visant à renforcer la transparence et la portabilité des certifications de tous les sous-systèmes et niveaux d’éducation et de formation, à stimuler les complementarités avec les cadres nationaux et régionaux de certifications et enfin à contribuer à CESA 16-25 et à l’agenda d’intégration continentale de l’AfCFTA. L’ACQF est en développement (2019-2022), dans un processus participatif et soutenu par l’UE, le GIZ et l’ETF.
Pour bénéficier d’une base d’informations bien fondée, le processus de l’ACQF a commencé par une étude de cartographie continentale explorant l’état des lieux et les perspectives des cadres et des systèmes de qualification. Une collection de rapports nationaux et régionaux a vu le jour, utiles comme référence et partage entre les institutions et les parties prenantes.
