
The strategic use and integration of digital tools and technology to strengthen the teaching and learning processes in vocational education is referred to as "leveraging digitalization" in technical and vocational education and training (TVET). To present and support TVET programs, it entails using digital platforms, technologies, software, and online resources. Abstract This journal article investigates the utilization of digitalization in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Namibia, with a focus on two selected TVET institutions. The aim is to explore the benefits, challenges, and strategies associated with leveraging digital technologies in enhancing learning outcomes within the Namibian TVET context. The study adopts a qualitative research approach, utilizing semi-structured interviews as the primary method for data collection. The interviews will be conducted with key stakeholders, including instructors, administrators, and students, from the two selected TVET institutions in Namibia. The journal seeks to identify the potential advantages of integrating digital technologies into the TVET curriculum, including the provision of interactive and immersive learning experiences, personalized instruction, and access to a wide range of learning resources. Additionally, the journal aims to identify the predicaments that arise in implementing digitalization in TVET, such as infrastructure limitations, the digital divide, and the availability of qualified teachers and trainers. The data will be gathered through the semi-structured interviews and will be analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The analysis will focus on identifying common themes, patterns, and insights related to the utilization of digital technologies in TVET in Namibia. The findings of this journal will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on digitalization in TVET, particularly within the Namibian context. The results will provide valuable insights for policymakers, instructors, educators, and stakeholders involved in shaping the future of TVET in Namibia. Additionally, the journal aims to inform the development of strategies and recommendations for effectively leveraging digitalization in TVET, considering the unique challenges and opportunities present in the Namibian educational landscape. Overall, this research endeavors to shed light on the potential of digitalization to enhance learning outcomes in Namibian TVET institutions and pave the way for a more digitally inclusive and future-ready workforce in 21st century Namibia.
