Companies in Côte d’Ivoire are aware of the role they have to play in skills training, this is why efforts are being made, through the CGECI, to influence the development of curricula on a state level. In this video, Human Resource Directors from different institutions reflect on their experiences in coordinating with the state and TVET institutions to promote skills development and youth employment.

From the perspective of Human Resources Directors, HR departments should be at the heart of the skills training and hiring process through collaboration with the state as well as TVET institutions. HR experts also emphasize that sector specific centers should be established and financed for each industry, so that talent can be trained both at school and in the companies, maintaining this link with the private sector and the training institutions is essential for employability.
